Tradition and innovation are at the heart of IMEPA, a historic company owned by the Esposito family, which has been able to transform itself from a producer of fresh chilies to a specialist in dried products. The ability to recognize the best raw materials, which is essential for a finished product with a natural taste, stems from the company's peasant origins, from the agricultural knowledge that founder Enrico passed down to his children, to enable them to select and process only the best that nature has to offer.

The third generation of Esposito is now at the helm of an industrial reality that, with cutting-edge technologies, produces dried ingredients of vegetable origin, as well as mixes and creams, marketing them under three brands dedicated to different channels and types of customers. The goodness of the dried product also corresponds to that of the company's policy: investments in innovation, which led to the construction of the production plant in Nocera Inferiore, have focused on food safety andhygiene, but also on the safety of all employees and the systematic control of the entire supply chain.

IMEPA, in addition to compliance with current environmental regulations (Legislative Decree 152/2006), applies various solutions to protect the environment.

It was among the first companies in Campania to choose an ethical approach. For more than 10 years, it has favored alternative energy sources to power the entire production process: clean solar energy, transformed by the company's industrial activities through the use of a photovoltaic system.

It carries out rigorous separate waste collection and cooperates with leading accredited companies for waste disposal. In 2018, it recovered 2,000 kilograms of plastic and more than 9,000 kilograms of paper, thanks to internal operating instructions in both offices and production areas and the presence of an in-house employee who deals exclusively with environmental issues.

For rainwater and process water, it has implemented an innovative natural recycling method, phyto-purification: a natural wastewater purification system that mimics the self-purification principle typical of aquatic and wetland environments.
